Office Manager/Office Worker Job Duties: Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions. Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records. Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement. Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments. .• Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, if available; preparing for and implementing training sessions as needed for agents, etc. Achieves financial objectives by helping to prepare an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and aiding the team in implementation and completion of programs. Does light office cleaning, including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restroom, taking out trash, and sanitizing before/after meetings. Office Manager Skills and Qualifications: Supply Management, Knowledge of QuickBooks, Knowledge and Implementation of Social Media Sites, Keeping Others Informed, Tracking Budget Expenses, Delegation, Staffing, Managing Processes, Supervision, Developing Standards, Promoting Process Improvement, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Training Skills. Office Attire: Dress will be appropriate business dress. No tee shirts, sweat shirts, torn jeans, etc. Fridays can be dress down days but still appropriate dress. Work Hours: Work hours will be determined, Monday through Friday, with pay being calculated by the hour and a time sheet kept and signed off either each week or twice monthly by employer and employee. If at all possible, a 24-48 hour notice should be given if work is to be missed. Sickness is, of course, not included.
