Be part of a three-person team rotation. This position will use mig welding process to complete repair-type welds on product as a final-step after robotic welding is completed. Team members rotate between loading/unloading parts into robotic weld fixtures, mig welding critical points, and completing inspection and finishing steps. Shifts available*: 2nd shift - Monday through Friday, 3 - 11:30 PM with overtime as needed. Shift premium $1/hr. 3rd shift - Sunday overnight through Thursday overnight, 10:30PM - 7:00 AM or 11:00PM - 7:30AM with overtime as needed. Shift premium $0.75/hr. Day shift 12 hours Monday through Saturday on a rotating schedule 2 days on/off and every other weekend. Will be either 6AM - 6:30PM or 7AM - 7:30PM Night shift 12 hours Sunday overnight to Friday overnight on a rotating schedule 2 days on/off and every other weekend. Will be either 6PM - 6:30AM or 7PM – 7:30PM. Shift premium $1/hr *shifts may be staggered for social-distancing at this time. NOTE: Pay for this role starts at $16.25/hr and goes up to $18.25 (3 yr rate). However, persons hired for this position are provided an opportunity to train and test into a higher-level position, Secondary Weld Operator. Ideally operators in this facility will perform in rotation: loader/operator, quality inspection, and repair welding (mig). Once promoted, will earn $17.78-20.00 (3 year rate) ________________________________________ Summary: Under general supervision will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to operating welders, saws, benders, and other production equipment to meet customer requirements as specified by work order, blueprints and diagrams of the part. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: · May set up tools, dies and equipment, and make adjustments in dies and equipment used in producing product. · Uses Global Shop Solutions (manufacturing software) to produce tickets and labels. · Operates equipment using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards and uses the necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met. · Keeps all required records and maintains a clean work area. · Follows all verbal and written instructions pertaining to the operation of dies and equipment as well as any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned. · May require assistance of a lead person to make necessary adjustments to dies, machinery and equipment. · Performs the following processes: press set-ups and operation, buffing, packing, bending, deburring, sawing, sorting, reworking, helping other operators, operating of fork lift and/or cranes, loading and unloading parts from lines or machines · Other duties as assigned.
