Salary Range:$16.25 to $17.75/hour Be part of a three-person team rotation. This position will use mig welding process to complete repair-type welds on product as a final-step after robotic welding is completed. Team members rotate between loading/unloading parts into robotic weld fixtures, mig welding critical points, and completing inspection and finishing steps. Shifts available: 2nd shift - Monday through Friday, 3 - 11:30 PM with overtime as needed. Shift premium $1/hr. 3rd shift - Sunday night through Thursday night, 2:30 PM - 11PM with overtime as needed. Shift premium $0.75/hr. Day shift 3 days per week, 12 hours Monday through Saturday on a rotating schedule 2 days on/off and every other weekend. 6AM - 6:30PM Overnight shift 3 days per week, 12 hours Monday through Saturday on a rotating schedule 2 days on/off and every other weekend. 6PM - 6:30AM $1/hr shift premium NOTE: Pay for this role starts at $16.25/hr and goes up to $18.25 (3 yr rate). However, persons hired for this position are provided an opportunity to train and test into a higher-level position, Secondary Weld Operator. Ideally operators in this facility will perform in rotation: loader/operator, quality inspection, and repair welding (mig). Once promoted, will earn $17.75-20.00 (3 year rate) Experienced welders who pass the welding test with us will be hired as welders. Pay starts at $17.75/hour and goes up to $20.00/hour (3 year rate) ________________________________________ Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferred Applicants Will Also Have: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); • Experience in Manufacturing, including: MIG welding equipment, Setting up/running welding equipment; some adjustments and programming experience, Performing quality inspections on parts produced, Blueprint reading ________________________________________ Summary: Under general supervision will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to operating welders, saws, benders, and other production equipment to meet customer requirements as specified by work order, blueprints and diagrams of the part. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned. · May set up tools, dies and equipment, and make adjustments in dies and equipment used in producing product. · Uses Global Shop Solutions (manufacturing software) to produce tickets and labels. · Operates equipment using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards and uses the necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met. · Keeps all required records and maintains a clean work area. · Follows all verbal and written instructions pertaining to the operation of dies and equipment as well as any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned. · May require assistance of a lead person to make necessary adjustments to dies, machinery and equipment. · Performs the following processes: press set-ups and operation, buffing, packing, bending, deburring, sawing, sorting, reworking, helping other operators, operating of fork lift and/or cranes, loading and unloading parts from lines or machines Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
