Description Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking full time Heavy Truck Mechanic/Service Technician for our Shelbyville, KY Regional Service Center. Our Heavy Truck Mechanics are responsible for analyzing malfunctions and repairs, rebuilding and maintaining fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the units, pumps, compressors, and generators. A Heavy Truck Mechanic will operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose discrepancies, dismantles, repairs, reassembles vehicles or equipment utilizing hand tools and hoists. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring equipment. Repairs, rebuilds, overhauls, replaces defective assemblies and components such as collector gear boxes, transfer cases, differentials, and both water or hydraulic pumps. Tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. Welds broken parts and structural members. Requirements Successful candidate will have at least three years of prior experience in the heavy truck industry, along with being able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required. Additionally, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B is required or must be obtained within three months of hire. ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications as well as state inspection license a plus. Atlantic Emergency Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
