Position: Service Technician Level 3
Department: Product Support
Reports to: Service Manager

Primary Function:
Perform service work in shop or field, using hand and power tools, fork lifts and other lifting equipment, welders and torches to disassemble and reassemble parts and assemblies as required to repair or maintain equipment and systems.
Essential Functions:
Perform assigned service work in shop or field with limited supervision. Daily
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems through failure analysis, make recommendations Daily
for repairs, disassemble/reassemble equipment, components, parts as required to
effect repairs.
Read and understand technical manuals and drawings. Daily
Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes and other generally used tooling and equipment Daily
in a safe and competent manner.
Maintain equipment and tools as assigned. Daily
Adhere to established policies and procedures. Complete service reports and other Daily
required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Prepare other reports as directed.
Attend assigned service schools. As directed
Assigned shop fabrication work. As directed
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Daily
Must be able to withstand working at heights and in changing weather conditions. Daily
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, walk, climb and reach overhead to accommodate Daily
positions to repair equipment.
And other responsibilities as assigned by supervision. Daily
Other functions:
Respond to customer inquiries(internal & external), questions, complaints regarding manufactured or distributed product through phone or direct contact.
Operate equipment and perform job functions in a safe manner.
Perform flat and out of position MIG and stick welding and torch operations.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prefer two years post high school technical education/training.
Background(s) in drafting, electrical or electronics, machinist work a plus.
Experience:
2-3 years general mechanical repair, preferably in the aggregate industry or heavy equipment/industrial equipment industry.
Skills/Abilities/Aptitude:
Personality to interact with customers in a positive manner. Good people skills.
Good housekeeping skills.
Quick learner.
Strong customer service mindset.
High mechanical aptitude.
Special demands:
Hours
Overtime & Saturday work with occasional Sunday work will be required. Long hours with
short notice.
Travel
Travel to customer and vendor locations will be required. Driving and flying are required.
Overnight stays are required.
License/degree requirements:
Forklift license
